How to get to Venus Bay Eco Retreat from Melbourne by car.

From Melbourne city or Tullamarine airport take the M1 freeway. CityLink freeway tolls apply. You can purchase a CityLink pass by phone 13 26 29 (24 hours, 7 days a week) or online at www.citylink.com.au.

Once on the M1, take the Cranbourne and Phillip Island exit to the left (M420). You will now be travelling on the South Gippsland Highway. Continue on the M420 for approximately 34 km, and then take the Korumburra and Leongatha exit to the left (route A440). Continue following map and road signs to Leongatha, Koonwarra, then to Tarwin Lower.

Travel through the small township of Tarwin Lower with the Tarwin River on your right and you will soon arrive at the small shopping village of Venus Bay.

From Venus Bay village take Centre Road straight through a roundabout to Lees Road. Turn left into Lees Road, travel a short distance then turn right where Lees Road meets Canterbury Road. Keep travelling along Lees Road until you have passed through housing estates 1 and 2 (see locality map). Venus Bay Eco Retreat is at 802 Lees Road on housing estate 3, a conservation zone.

Venus Bay Eco Retreat entrance track is on the right approx 10 metres past the sign post to Williamsons Road (Williamsons Road is an unmade No Through Road sign-posted on the left of Lees Road). Street number 802 is prominently displayed on the gate post but is not visible from the road until you have turned your car into the driveway. Drive very slowly along the winding entrance track to the car park and vegetable garden, park your car here and walk along the track to the reception area. Travel from Phillip Island along the coast to Venus Bay Eco Retreat

Take the Bass Highway (B460) and travel towards Inverloch. When you reach Wonthaggi, take a scenic detour along the C435 towards Cape Paterson and Inverloch. This unique stretch of road hugs the coastline and provides spectacular views of Bunurong Marine National Park, Anderson Inlet and Venus Bay.

From Inverloch town take the C442 towards the coastal hamlets of Tarwin Lower and Venus Bay.

How to get to Venus Bay Eco Retreat from Melbourne by bus.

From Southern Cross Station in Melbourne City take the bus to Leongatha, South Gippsland. The Venus Bay bus links with the Melbourne/Leongatha bus on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays. Phone Dysons Bus Lines on 03 5662 2891 for further information on Venus Bay bus services.
