Venus Bay Eco Retreat is a hosted Advanced Ecotourism nature retreat with one accommodation cabin for a maximum of 5 guests.

Correa Cabin is named after the Australian coastal shrub Correa alba or White Correa, with its characteristic blue-green foliage and creamy white flowers. The cabin interiors are painted with colours inspired by the surrounding forest and feature the subtle hues of the White Correa.

Completed in early 2009, the cabin is eco friendly with creature comforts and original artworks. Visitors are encouraged to live simply with respect for nature, and this concept is reflected in the cabin design. You are lulled to sleep by the sound of the Southern Ocean and wake up to bird song.

The beautifully detailed bathroom has a bath tub for two with private views of the bushland. Heated towel rails, organic body products and a generous supply of solar heated rainwater help to make your visit special. These ecologically sustainable luxuries are available even when water restrictions apply to most of the continent.

Bed configuration: One queen bed & one single bed in open plan loft. One luxury inflatable double bed downstairs by request.

• Slow food markets, organic fresh food providers and boutique wineries are nearby, scattered throughout the South Gippsland region. Maps and local information are available at the eco retreat.
• There is a FREE local restaurant reservation service from the eco retreat; contact us for recommendations, and book ahead to avoid disappointment.

• 280 litre refrigerator with freezer compartment
• Electric wok (8 litre capacity) & rice cooker
• Electric kettle, toaster & small microwave oven
• 3 burner portable gas stove (outdoors on covered deck)

• Olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, pepper, organic raw sugar, utensils, crockery, cutlery, wine glasses, tea towels.

• Solid footwear for outdoors at all times of the year.
• Light slip on shoes to wear inside the buildings.
• Sunscreen, hat, torch, camera, your favourite music, binoculars, personal insect repellent.

Please help to minimise landfill waste by choosing recyclable packaging. Vegetable scraps are composted at the eco retreat and clean paper, card board, newspapers, cans, glass and plastics types 1, 2 & 3 are collected for recycling.
